Jesus Christ. Okay: Markus was gifted to and raised by a kind, rich artist, who treated him like a son and taught him to have feelings and personality and love revolution. When Markus loses this home, he becomes "Deviant" - An Android with free will that isn't beholden to human failsafes or commands. He finds other androids like him living in miserable secret, says "Bitch you live like this?" and slowly refuses to accept himself and others like him being treated like they're subhuman. When he discovers he can make any Android go Deviant with a touch, it spirals from riots and graffiti to internationally-broadcast propaganda. He avoids retaliatory violence at first, but when a peaceful android march is gunned into, Markus rushes them in defense and a violent revolution begins. Markus wins over every android he comes into contact with, including Connor, the only agent of their creators capable of stopping him - instead, Connor hands him an army of millions. Markus proceeds to ANNEX DETROIT with his new army, so now Detroit is a country owned by androids who control the world economy. eat shit humans lmao |

| 15 Second Summary |
Markus lived as a senior hospice caretaker for most of his life. He was encouraged to think for himself, read and have opinions on literature and art, and care for others. Although haunted by his mistreatment from others, he deeply misses living with his father. Being violently trashed and forced to claw his way back up from near-death traumatized him, and shoved Markus discovering himself as a living artificially-created being into the backseat. Markus accelerates from scraping the surface of injustice to full-blown righteous revolution, deciding his scope is now ALL ANDROIDS get to live freely now. Once he succeeds... he wanders back to see his dad, lost and confused about who he is. So uh, seizing territory from the U.S. for the first time in history is Markus' level of teenage rebellion. |
